Study: Family Engagement in an era of Internet-connected Devices

Findings 
(1.) Family members use more Internet-connected Devices, on a daily basis than the number of members in their family

(2.) Laptops and phones are owned by every family surveyed 

(3.) Family members prefer to:
(a.) watch TV and movies using Internet Streaming Services and in small groups or alone more often than as a whole family
(b.) listen to music using Internet Streaming Services and to listen to music on one device as a whole family
(c.) play board games or cards more often than they play digital games 

(d.) solve puzzles on their  phones/tablets just as often as they
(e.) solve traditional cardboard puzzles 

(f.) talk to each other without technology while at home

(4.)Parents prefer to communicate with their child(ren):
(a.) with some form of social media when their child(ren) are not home
(b.) teacher using some form of social media/email
(c.) about homework without using technology

(5.) Parents prefer to communicate with each other using some form of social media when they are away from home
